A boy aged 16 was found murdered and his body hidden in a house in Baragoi, Samburu County.
The assailant had hidden the body in the house and was found washing his blood-stained clothes after the murder on January 17, police said.
The motive of the attack is yet to be established.
According to the police, the boy’s throat had been slit. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
Elsewhere in the Kambi Garba area, Isiolo County, a man was found dead after he had been shot.
He was identified as Abbas Shariff and had a bullet wound in the ribs. The motive of the murder was not immediately established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending investigations.
In Tharaka Nithi’s Gatue village, the body of a man was found lying in a thicket after murder.
The body was partially decomposed when it was discovered on Saturday, police said.
Police said the deceased had head injuries and seemed to have been murdered elsewhere and body dumped at the scene.

In Malindi, Kilifi County a Swiss national aged 73 collapsed near a swimming pool and died. Police said Patrick Christian Claude had checked into the country on January 10 and was staying at the Kilimandogo area when he collapsed and died on January 17, 2026.
The cause of the death was not immediately established and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
And a man was hacked to death after he was found stealing bananas from a piece of land in Karuri, Kigumo, Muranga County. The said assailant was arrested following the incident, police said adding the deceased was hacked using a panga.
In Chinga, Nyeri County, one Paul Waithaka Kabuu, 35 was found dead after being attacked by an unknown wild animal.
The body was found in the area with puncture marks on the head and a bite on the right thigh.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said Kenya Wildlife Service officials had been called to join the probe into the death.
