A 17-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in an attack in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.
Police said he was attacked by his friends in an altercation on Sunday March 29.
Three suspects in the attack were arrested pending arraignment, police said.
Police said the body of the deceased had stab wounds when it was discovered and moved to the mortuary for other procedures.
It is not clear what triggered the fighting that turned tragic.
Such violent attacks among youths in the area have been on the rise amid efforts to address the trend. Police said some of the youths behind the incidents have been arrested and prosecuted with various offences.
Meanwhile, police in Tana River County have launched investigations following the discovery of a decomposing body of an unidentified man in a bushy area in Tana North Sub-county.
Police said the body was discovered on March 29, 2026, at around 4:00 p.m. by herdsmen in the Bini area within Bilbil sub-location.
Officers from Bura Police Station, accompanied by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Tana North, visited the scene and recovered the remains.
Police said the body, believed to be that of an adult male of unknown age, was found in an advanced state of decomposition in an uninhabited bushy area. No visible external injuries were observed at the time of recovery.
The body was moved to Hola County Referral Hospital mortuary, where it is awaiting identification and a post-mortem examination.
Authorities are appealing to members of the public with missing persons reports to come forward and assist in identifying the deceased.
