47-year-old woman killed in domestic dispute in Narok village


Police in Narok East Sub-county are pursuing a murder suspect who allegedly killed a 47-year-old woman after a dispute at a trading centre in Sintakara village.According to the police, the incident occurred on the night of May 19 at around 10:30 pm.
A complainant told police that he had earlier engaged in an altercation with a man at Sintakara Trading Centre over an undisclosed issue.He later left for his home, but upon arrival, as his wife Grace Muthoni was opening the door for him, the suspect allegedly hurled a sharp object which pierced her stomach.

The victim sustained serious injuries and villagers responded after the husband raised an alarm.

She was rushed to Nairegie Enkare Sub-county Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.The body was transferred to Narok County Referral Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem examination.Police said the suspect remains at large and efforts to trace and arrest him are ongoing.And police in Kiminini Sub-county, Trans Nzoia County launched investigations after the decomposing body of a missing eight-year-old girl was discovered in the Norec area.According to the police officers who visited the scene, they found the decomposing body of a juvenile believed to be about 10 years old.The child was later identified by her mother as an eight-year-old pupil at Forest Primary School who had gone missing on May 5, 2026, while on her way to school.The disappearance had earlier been reported to police on the same day she vanished.Crime scene investigators processed the scene before the body was moved to Kitale District Hospital mortuary pending postmortem examination.Police said investigations into the suspected murder are ongoing, with the Sub-County Criminal Investigations Office in Kiminini handling the case.The motive of the murder is yet to be known, police said adding they were pursuing good leads into the same.
