Police are investigating an incident where a 68-year-old man was found murdered and his body dumped on the roadside in a village in Etago, Kisii County.
He was identified as James Kinaro, police said adding the body had injuries on the head and mouth.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures following the murder that happened on October 16, 2025.
Elsewhere in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, a fight between two men turned tragic when one of them died.
One of them, identified as Tom Namene, 28, was stabbed and killed in the fight, police said.
The assailant was later arrested at the scene, police said adding a blood stained knife.
It is not clear what triggered the fight that turned fatal.
