Outrage has erupted in Likoni, Mombasa, after a woman allegedly gave birth to a healthy baby and heartlessly dumped it by the roadside before vanishing into thin air.
While many people around the world struggle with infertility and spend fortunes trying to have children, others appear to take the gift of life for granted, and this incident is a painful reminder of that harsh reality.
According to reports shared by Presenter Kai on Facebook, the unidentified woman from the Shondo area of Likoni is said to have delivered a healthy baby, only to abandon it by the roadside moments later.

Well-wishers who came across the newborn tried to rescue and nurse it, but their efforts were in vain as the infant succumbed shortly after, believed to have suffered prolonged exposure to the scorching sun.
Kai broke the heartbreaking news in a post shared on social media, stating:
“Mwanamke mmoja huko Likoni eneo la Shondo amejifungua mtoto na kisha kumtupa njiani na kwenda zake. Wasamaria wema walimuokoka akiwa hai japo aliaga muda mfupi baadaye kutokana na kupigwa na jua kali. Mamaye bado hajajulikana. By the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the woman remained unknown.
The incident has sparked anger among Kenyans online, with many condemning the act and demanding justice for the innocent child.

Social media users expressed disbelief and fury, insisting the woman should have sought help or taken the baby to a children’s home instead of leaving it to die.
“If she couldn’t raise the baby, she could have given it up for adoption. There are people out here praying day and night for such a blessing,” one user lamented.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
