Nairobi Central police commander moved in mini changes

The Nairobi Central Sub County Police Commander Stephene Nyakombo was Thursday moved in mini changes announced by police headquarters.

Nyakombo swapped positions with his Changamwe counterpart Patrick Gogo.

Also moved was the Central Officer Commanding Station (OCS).

It’s not clear what prompted the move announced on April 16.

Elsewhere, Kikuyu Sub County Criminal Investigations Officer Omondi Ogolla was transferred after last Saturday’s opposition rally attended by fromer Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

And Kitutu Central Sub-County Police Commander (Nyanchwa OCPD), Kazungu Charo died after a short illness.

Charo fell ill on Friday night and was rushed to hospital, where he was immediately put on treatment.

However, he later succumbed.

“The officer for the past six months has been in and out of hospital for blood transfusion and severe pelvic/back pain,” a colleague said.

His body was moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
