Detectives are investigating the murder of a woman aged 88 in a village in Ramula, Siaya County.
The murder incident happened on May 7 and her naked body was found on bed long after the incident, police said.
The motive of the murder is yet to be known. She was identified as Leonida Ogolla Adet.
Police said a hole was noticed in the sitting room of the house and it is suspected the assailants used it to access the house and kill her.
The body was moved to a mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police also said they recovered a kitchen knife kit on the bed and it is being analyzed for action.
Elsewhere in Ithanga, Muranga County, a farmhand attacked and killed a seven-year-old girl on May 7. Police said the assailant also assaulted and seriously wounded the grandmother of the girl before escaping the scene.
The motive of the attack was not immediately known, police said of the incident.
The body of the girl was moved to the mortuary for autopsy and also other procedures.
Meanwhile, in Kithyoko, Machakos County, a 36-year-old man was attacked and killed by people who were said to be known to him.
The police said three men known to the man picked him from his house and frog marched him to a local shopping centre. There, he was lynched over claims that he was a livestock thief.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Kasala, Kitui County, the body of a woman who had been missing was found in a house.
She was identified as Ruth Mukulwe, 58. Her body lay in a pool of blood when it was discovered on May 7.
Police officers visited the scene and gained entry into the house where they found the body lying in a pool of blood. The body had multiple injuries on the head which seemed to have been inflicted by a blunt object.
The deceased lived with her son who has not been seen according to neighbors.
The body was later moved to the mortuary for autopsy as investigations continue.
