Youth Affairs and Creative Economy PS Fikirini Jacobs has left Kenyans talking online after opening the doors of his stunning countryside mansion to President William Ruto and other high-profile government officials during a grand homecoming event in Bamba, Kilifi County.
The youthful politician hosted the Head of State and a host of leaders on Sunday, May 25, after a thanksgiving service held at Mnagoni Primary School grounds in Bamba.
The colourful event later culminated in a luncheon at Fikirini’s lavish home, where guests were treated to a warm reception in the village setting.
Photos shared online by the PS showed a magnificent multi-million-shilling residence complete with expansive compound space, elegant finishes, and tastefully designed outdoor areas that impressed many Kenyans on social media.
The images quickly circulated across different platforms, with countless netizens lauding the youthful leader for what many described as a remarkable achievement at a relatively young age.
In a heartfelt post after hosting the dignitaries, Fikirini expressed gratitude for the memorable occasion.
“We were deeply humbled and honored to host H.E. President William Ruto and his accompanying guests at our Biyubu home for a luncheon following the successful thanksgiving service at Mnagoni Primary School. Words alone cannot fully express our gratitude and privilege for this memorable occasion.” Fikirini wrote.
Many online users noted that the PS had achieved the major milestone barely two years after his appointment into government, with some praising him for his rapid rise in leadership and apparent financial success.
During the thanksgiving ceremony, President Ruto openly praised Fikirini’s leadership qualities and described him as an example of youthful leadership in government.
The president noted that it was uncommon for someone from Bamba and of Fikirini’s age to rise to the level of Principal Secretary so early in life.
Fikirini has steadily grown into one of the Coast region’s most visible youthful political figures. Before joining government, he was widely known for his vocal youth advocacy and active involvement in national political discourse.
His appointment as Principal Secretary in the State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy was seen by many as part of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s push to include younger leaders in senior government positions.
The Bamba event attracted national attention not only because of the high-profile attendance but also due to the excitement among residents who turned up in large numbers to witness the president’s visit.
The occasion, however, also made headlines after a brief security scare during Ruto’s speech when a man reportedly breached security and approached the podium before being subdued by officers.
Despite the incident, conversations online largely remained focused on Fikirini’s impressive home, with many Kenyans saying the property reflected hard work, ambition, and the changing face of youthful leadership in the country.
