Police Leadership Presides Over Commissioning of New Administration Block at Kiamumbi Police Station

Senior officers of the National Police Service gathered at Kiamumbi Police Station in Kiambu County for the official commissioning of a new administration block constructed through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).

The event was marked by the arrival of Deputy Inspector General of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, ahead of the launch of the facility, which is expected to enhance service delivery and improve working conditions for officers stationed at the police station.

The commissioning ceremony was hosted by Kiambu MP Machua Waithaka and presided over by Inspector General of the National Police Service Douglas Kanja, who attended as the chief guest.

Speaking during the event, leaders described the project as a significant investment in security infrastructure aimed at strengthening policing services within the constituency.

“The new administration block will provide a better working environment for officers and enhance the delivery of services to members of the public,” officials said during the ceremony.

The facility was funded through the NG-CDF programme, which has increasingly been used to support the construction and upgrading of security installations across the country.

Inspector General Douglas Kanja commended the collaboration between local leadership and security agencies, noting that improved infrastructure plays a key role in boosting operational efficiency within the police service.

The event brought together police officers, local leaders and residents, who welcomed the development as a step towards improving security and public service delivery in the area.

Officials reiterated the government’s commitment to modernising police facilities and equipping officers with the resources needed to effectively serve communities across the country.
