Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has highlighted the numerous internal and external threats Kenya faces that jeopardize its long-term sustainability.
Speaking at the awarding of the Charter to the National Intelligence and Research University on Tuesday, Kindiki called on the institution to play a vital role in ensuring the country’s future stability.

Kindiki emphasized that addressing these challenges is essential for the nation’s survival, urging the university to contribute solutions to modern-day threats that threaten Kenya’s sustainability.

He expressed optimism that the institution will provide vital insights into tackling these complex challenges.

“I want to challenge the National Intelligence and Research University to continually project how you can support the government, under the leadership of President William Ruto, in ensuring the long-term sustainability of our country,” Kindiki said.

“We face both internal and external threats that pose risks to Kenya’s future, and as we train intelligence professionals, I hope this university will help us find solutions for safeguarding the nation’s sustainability for generations to come.”

The National Intelligence and Research University College, established under Legal Notice No. 96 of 2021, is a constituent college of the National Defence University of Kenya (NDU-K).
