Gospel DJ and media personality Samuel Muraya, popularly known as DJ Mo, has addressed fresh allegations that he was unfaithful to his wife, gospel singer Size 8, during his recent stay in the United States.
The controversy erupted online after alleged screenshots purportedly showing conversations linked to the DJ circulated on social media.
The material triggered renewed speculation about the state of the celebrity couple’s marriage, with fans and critics demanding answers from the two.
DJ Mo, however, has pushed back against the claims, warning members of the public against believing everything circulating online.
He addressed the issue on Tuesday, September 1, during a conversation with gospel musician Daddy Owen on the Daddy X MO Podcast.
Daddy Owen directly confronted his friend over the allegations, noting that screenshots had allegedly surfaced.
“Bro tumeona hadi screenshots,” Daddy Owen said.
DJ Mo responded by suggesting that people were making conclusions about matters they did not fully understand.
“Wanaongea vitu hawajui,” he said, while maintaining that he was not interested in engaging in a public defence of himself.
DJ Mo raises questions over AI-generated content
During the discussion, DJ Mo also urged Kenyans to exercise caution when consuming material shared online, specifically mentioning artificial intelligence and ChatGPT.
He questioned the reliability of information circulating on social media and pointed to a recent phone call from Size 8 as an indication that the two were on good terms.
“Nataka kuwaambia kitu moja. Kuna AI na ChatGPT. Be careful guys,” DJ Mo said.
The DJ described Size 8 as his “good friend” and maintained that their communication showed that there was no crisis between them.
His remarks came at a time when social media users were closely scrutinising the couple’s interactions following the renewed cheating allegations.
‘I love my wife,’ DJ Mo insists
Rather than going into details about the screenshots, DJ Mo focused on his feelings towards his wife.
He said he loved Size 8 and would not use the public platform to attack or disparage her. He added that people close to him were aware of the affection he has for his wife.
“Napenda wife yangu,” he stated.
DJ Mo further suggested that the most important person in the controversy was Size 8 herself, arguing that her understanding of their relationship mattered more to him than public opinion.
He said his wife was okay, knew that he loved her and that he treasured her.
The comments appeared aimed at calming speculation surrounding the couple rather than engaging directly with the authenticity of the alleged screenshots.
Size 8 and DJ Mo have faced relationship turbulence before
The latest controversy comes against the backdrop of a relationship that has previously experienced intense public scrutiny.
DJ Mo and Size 8 have been one of Kenya’s most recognisable celebrity couples since their marriage.
Their relationship has, however, gone through difficult periods, including previous infidelity allegations that generated widespread discussion.
In 2020, the couple found themselves at the centre of another cheating controversy after allegations involving a woman who claimed to have had an intimate relationship with DJ Mo circulated online.
The episode became a major entertainment story at the time, with Size 8 publicly reacting to the turmoil.
The couple later worked through their differences and continued presenting a united front.
Their relationship again came under scrutiny after they went through a period of separation before reconciling.
In February 2025, DJ Mo publicly proposed to Size 8 on Valentine’s Day, followed by reports that the pair renewed their vows in a private ceremony days later.
That history has made the latest allegations particularly sensitive among their followers.
Size 8 has also spoken about fidelity
The renewed debate has coincided with renewed attention on remarks previously made by Size 8 about remaining faithful to her husband.
In a video that resurfaced online, the gospel singer spoke about marriage, children, faith and the sacrifices involved in maintaining a family.
She explained that her children were among the reasons she viewed fidelity as important, saying she could not claim to love her children while being unfaithful to their father.
Her remarks attracted significant reactions online, with some Kenyans praising her commitment to marriage while others debated whether celebrity relationships should be subjected to such intense public scrutiny.
Social media fuels fresh debate
The latest controversy highlights the growing difficulty public figures face when dealing with allegations originating from social media.
Screenshots, purported private conversations and AI-generated material can spread rapidly before the people involved have an opportunity to establish their authenticity.
Other Kenyan media reports have similarly noted that digital material can be edited, taken out of context or circulated without the full circumstances surrounding it.
That has led some observers to urge caution before treating online allegations as established facts.
For now, DJ Mo has not publicly admitted to cheating on Size 8.
Instead, his message has been that his wife knows the truth about their relationship and that her understanding is more important to him than speculation on social media.
His latest comments are therefore unlikely to end the online debate immediately, but they offer his clearest response yet to the fresh allegations.
