Andrew Kibe helped me reconcile with my parents, rapper DNA confesses

Veteran Kenyan rapper Dennis Kaggia, alias DNA, has for the first time opened up about his close ties to controversial content creator Andrew Kibe.

DNA not long ago disclosed that Kibe and he are very tight, a relationship that stemmed from the help he got from the creator that saw him reconcile with his parents after years of conflict.

“Kibe me huwaga nimemtambua because he speaks truth. Truth is ugly, truth inagwaruza, but mwishowe ukweli ni ukweli. When Kibe was in the States, we used to talk a lot. Me and Kibe used to interface a lot because I would share ideas and concepts with him,” DNA said.

Speaking in a candid interview with Dr Ofweneke on his recent show on TV47, DNA revealed he started liking Kibe after coming across his initial hard-hitting content.

According to the rapper, it was through Kibe’s content, which mainly focused on relationships between parents and their children, that he was able to have a sit-down with his parents and solve their past differences.

“That was the time his content was so big, and hio time alikuwa anabonga story za parents and their children and their relationships in between. And about parent wound yenye watu wako nayo, and I was dealing with that. Hio kitu ilivuta sana because I wanted to have deep love with my parents. We were good, but we had this weird relationship. When I listened to Kibe’s content, I was like, men kumbe hii kitu inaweza kuwa solved ni kuiface tu, and fortunately my parents are alive. Because of the videos Kibe made, one day I asked my parents we sit down and talk about it. Because of Kibe’s content and my talks with him, hizo wound zangu zote were healed through talking to my parents and squashing everything,” he added.
