A boda boda rider was found murdered after he had been robbed of his motorcycle in Matulo area, Bungoma County.
Police said the attackers were targeting his motorcycle and he may have resisted leading to his murder.
The body of Samuel Misango, 20 was found lying on a feeder road after his murder and had a deep cut on the back of his head.
Police moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Most of the stolen motorcycles are refurbished and sold off to unsuspecting buyers.
Police advise the riders to cooperate with their attackers as part of their safety.
Elsewhere in Matunda, Kakamega County, a guard was killed in a robbery at a bar, police said.
The body of Jesse Chesebe, 38 was found in the bar after he had been killed.
His hands were tied with a rope and the neck was also having a rope around it indicating he was strangled.
The body also had cuts on its head, police said adding assorted beers were stolen from the bar.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy even as the hunt on the suspected killers went on, police said.
And in Karaini, Kirinyaga County, the body of one Denis Gitungi was found lying on a footpath after a suspected murder.
Police said blood was oozing from his eyes, ears and mouth with visible marks on both hands. The neck also had signs of strangulation then, police said.
The motive of the murder was not established. The body seemed to have been delivered to the scene after murder elsewhere.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said they are pursuing the murder for justice. This followed claims by locals that the man was a known suspect.
