Police are investigating the death of an unidentified middle-aged man whose body was found along a road at the Wangari Maathai underpass near the Jubilee Flyover in Nairobi.
The body was discovered on Thursday night, September 24, 2026, at around 11.30pm by police officers who were on patrol within the area.
Police responded to the scene and found the lifeless body of an unidentified adult African male lying on his left side.
Police reported that the body had visible physical injuries on the left side, although the cause of death had not been established.
Scene-of-crime officers from Starehe processed and documented the scene before the body was moved to Nairobi Funeral Home.
The body is being preserved pending a postmortem examination and identification as investigations continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Ands police in Borabu, Nyamira County, are investigating the death of a man whose body was found beside a road in Keginga area.
The body was discovered on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at around 4pm.
Police officers visited the scene and found the deceased, identified as Elijah Banjuka, lying on his back beside the road.
Preliminary investigations indicated that Banjuka was a homeless man whose relatives were not immediately known.
Police said there were no visible physical injuries on the body.
The scene was processed before the body was moved to Gucha Cottage and Nursing Home, where it was preserved pending a postmortem examination.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances and cause of the man’s death, as efforts to identify and trace his relatives continue.
Elsewhere, a 40-year-old man was found dead inside an abandoned building in Bondo town, Siaya County.
The body of Raphael Otieno Sewe was discovered on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, inside the building located opposite Bondo Main Stage.
According to police, the discovery was reported at around 2.50pm by a local, who informed police that his brother had been found lying dead inside the abandoned building.
Police officers responded to the scene and found Raphael’s body lying in a prone position.
A preliminary examination found no visible physical injuries on the body.
Police processed the scene before the body was removed to Bondo Sub-County Hospital mortuary, where it was preserved pending a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death are ongoing.
