Eldoret comes to standstill as Baniyas Square shuts down town with electrifying 2nd anniversary


Eldoret town has in the past few years managed to steal the nightlife hype from Nairobi, bringing it down the newly accredited town.

Countless celebrities and events organisers have been hosting their events in Eldoret, making it the newest party town, giving the likes of Nairobi and Nakuru a run for their money.

This was brought to life recently as popular hangout joint, Baniyas Square hosted its much-anticipated second anniversary party.

Being a top notch entertainment joint, Baniyas Square hosted a four-day long festival that saw performances from some of Kenya’s most popular music acts, deejays and emcees.

Nairobi News understands Baniyas Square’s second anniversary festival kicked off on Thursday, September 4, and ran through the entire weekend to Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The club experienced a surge in terms of revelers thanks to their rich line-up of performances from too East African musicians led by Bien Aime Barasa and Uganda’s Jose Chameleone.

The festival gave revelers a treat of their lifetime with unforgettable live performances from Bien, Femi One, Mejja, and, of course, Jose Chameleone, with each artist bringing their signature style and anthems to a world-class stage complete with booming sound, immersive lighting, and nonstop energy.

To keep the beats flowing, Baniyas Square assembled an A-list DJ roster like no other.

Partygoers got the chance to dance to the incredible spins of DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Grauchi, DJ Kym Nickdee, DJ Alecky, DJ Crème De La Crème, DJ Double Trouble, and DJ Gibbz, making it one of the biggest gatherings of Kenyan DJs under one roof.

And with hype masters Eldoret’s own MC Nick The Trend and MC Emmah steered the energy across all four nights.

The selected deejays and emcees kept the audience on its feet until the very last beat dropped.

The highlight of the night was a thrilling performance from Bien Aime who was the headliner of the event.

Nairobi News understands Bien, who has been selling out major arenas both locally and abroad brought the house down with his performance that got fans singing line after line when he hit the stage.

Jose Chameleone did not disappoint either, as he took confirmed to revelers why he is referred to as the East African music doctor.

Thursday, September 4 – Opening night with Femi One and Mejja, supported by DJ Joe Mfalme, DJ Alecky, Tinaling, and MC Nick The Trend.

Friday, September 5 – Heavy mixes from DJ Gibbz Tha Daqchild and DJ Crème De La Crème.

Saturday, September 6 – A major highlight as Bien took to the stage for his “ALUSA CONTINUA” Tour, joined by DJ Kym Nickdee and Ruffest DJ Moh.

Sunday, September 7 – The grand finale with Jose Chameleone, who closed the festival in style with Ugandan flavor and unforgettable classics.

With the successful Baniyas Square’s second anniversary party, it is clear Eldoret is the place to go when it comes to entertaining music events and others.
