Eric Omondi shares snippet of song Shalkido was working on before sudden death


Many Kenyans, specifically celebrities had bigger and better plans for the late Shalkido before death suddenly snatched him from the surface of the earth.

Politicians such as Karen Nyamu claimed he has bought a brand new motorbike for Shalkido and was intending to hand it over to him but fate had other plans.

Various Kenyan musicians and rappers, including Bahati also came out and claimed they were in studio working on something with the deceased before his untimely demise.

Well, all those may just be publicity stunts pulled by the people to chase clout using Shalkido’s death.

However, Eric Omondi on Sunday, October 12, 2025, shared separated himself from the rest by sharing receipts to prove indeed Shalkido was in studio working on something for Kenyans under his Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative.

Taking to his social media pages, the comedian posted an old video of himself with Shalkido while handing over the motorbike he had requested from him.

In the same video, Shalkido promised to hit the studio and record a song to thank Kenya for their help.

True to his word, the artist hit the booth and started working on a song dubbed Sisi Kwa Sisi which did not come to completion following his death.

Eric shared a snippet of the song as he confirmed to Kenyans that indeed Shalkido was working his way up after hitting a snag.

“Shalkidoh was working on a SISI KWA SISI song, it was in its early stages…This was his last recording😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢,” he captioned.

Many netizens who sampled the snippet of Shalkido’s unreleased last song admitted that the young lad was talented and could have taken over the music industry shouldn’t death have visited him.
