Shalkido succumbs to injuries hours after grisly motorcycle accident


Gengetone artist Shalkido is dead, Nairobi News has learnt.

Shalkido passed away on the evening of Monday, October 5, 2025, barely hours after being involved in a motorcycle accident along the ever busy Thika Superhighway.

News of Shalkido’s sudden demise was confirmed by former Sailors Gang’s member Miracle Baby through a chat with Nairobi Gossip Club.

Colleague Confirms Shalkido’s Death

According to Miracle Baby, Shalkido’s father confirmed the artist’s death.

“Guys Shalkido ametuacha. His dad confirmed it to me,” Miracle Baby wrote.

Miracle Baby further confirmed the news with an update on his Insta-stories.

He posted a dark screen with an emoji of a white dove minutes after news of Shalkido’s demise.

News of Shalkido’s death shook many netizens who could not help but condole with his young wife, child and his entire family.

The artist died barely 24 hours after being involved in a grisly motorcycle accident.

Brain Dead

Nairobi News had earlier reported that his family had disclosed he had been declared brain dead by doctors at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

The artist had been transferred to KNH from the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital with a fractured skull and a broken leg.

Doctors had revealed to his family that he also suffered bleeding in the brain.

Doctors were waiting for the swelling in his brain to subside before conducting surgeries to save his life.

The artist had been admitted to the ICU for over 12 hours before his untimely death.
