Shalkido's condition critical, admitted to ICU with internal bleeding in brain following motorcycle accident

Comedian Oga Obinna has come out to share about artist Shalkido’s condition hours after he was involved in a motorcycle accident on Thika Road.

Obinna, in a series of Instagram videos sighted by Nairobi News gave updates on Shalkido who is currently admitted at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KUTRH).

As earlier reported by this site, Shalkido was involved in the accident on the morning of Sunday, October 5, 2025.

News of the accident was first made public by Oga Obinna through social media as he promised to share more details as they unfold.

“Wooooi Shalkido yawa. Critical in hosi. Apparently he had an accident today early morning. More updates to follow. Will update on what happened, where, how and why. Na tuliwachana vizuri today morning,” he wrote.

Well, hours later, Obinna furnished the public with details of Shalkido’s accident and his current condition.

The comedian posted a video of himself together with the artist’s father at the hospital as he explained what happened and the condition the former Sailors Gang’s member is currently in.

According to Obinna, Shalkido is receiving treatment at Kenyatta University Referral Hospital.

He added that the doctor who received him said Shalkido was suffering from internal bleeding in the brain and had a broken left leg.

“We are in the KU referral hospital, and things are not looking up because of a few factors. When we came in, tukapelekwa mbaka place yuko, yuko kwa ICU,” Obinna revealed.

“Quick update,is this, according to Dr Lillian, Shalkido aliingia,alipata accident asubuhi,ako na internal bleeding kwa brain the brain is bleeding brain pia imevura, then mguu yake ya left imevunjika,” he added.

He disclosed that he was with Shalkido in Thika earlier where he had called him to be part of his show.

The artist was involved in the accident barely hours after parting ways with the comedian.

As at the time of filing this report, Obinna informed netizens they were waiting for an ambulance to transfer Shalkido to different hospital, probably Kenyatta National Hospital.
