Steps to Block Celebrities on TikTok
Blocking a celebrity on TikTok is a straightforward process. Here’s how to do it:
- Open the Celebrity’s Profile
- Launch the TikTok app on your phone.
- Use the search bar at the top to type the name of the celebrity you want to block.
- Tap on their profile to open it.
- Access the Menu
- Once you’re on their profile, look for the three dots (⋮ or …) usually located in the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap on the dots to open the options menu.
- Select “Block”
- In the menu, scroll down until you see the Block option.
- Tap Block to prevent the celebrity from interacting with you and to remove their videos from your feed.
- Confirm the Action
- TikTok will ask you to confirm if you want to block the account.
- Tap Confirm, and the account will be blocked.
Once blocked, you will no longer see the celebrity’s videos on your feed, and they will not be able to view your content, like your videos, or comment on your posts.
How to Unblock a Celebrity
If you change your mind later and wish to follow them again, you can unblock them easily:
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the three lines (≡) at the top right to open Settings and Privacy.
- Select Privacy, then Blocked accounts.

Alternative Options Instead of Blocking
If you don’t want to completely block a celebrity but still wish to reduce their presence on your feed, TikTok also offers other features:
- Unfollow: If you previously followed the celebrity, unfollowing will stop their content from appearing in your “Following” tab.
- Not Interested: On your “For You” page, hold down on a video and select “Not Interested” to reduce similar content.
