With the rise of premium features and exclusive creator content, TikTok has introduced several subscription options to enhance user experience. These subscriptions often include perks such as ad-free viewing, subscriber-only live sessions, or access to exclusive content. However, if you’ve decided to cancel your TikTok subscription for any reason—whether to save money, manage screen time, or due to a change in interest—doing so is simple and can be done in just a few steps. Here’s a detailed guide on how to cancel your TikTok subscription based on your device and the method you used to subscribe.
Cancelling a TikTok Subscription on iPhone (iOS)
If you subscribed to TikTok through the Apple App Store, your subscription is managed via your Apple ID. To cancel:
Open your iPhone settings and tap on your name at the top of the screen to access your Apple ID. From there, tap on “Subscriptions.” You will see a list of all active and expired subscriptions linked to your Apple ID. Find and tap on the TikTok subscription from the list. You will be taken to a page showing your subscription details. Tap on “Cancel Subscription.” A confirmation prompt will appear; confirm to finalize the cancellation.
Once cancelled, you will continue to have access to the subscription features until the current billing cycle ends.
Cancelling a TikTok Subscription on Android
For Android users, subscriptions made via the Google Play Store are managed through Google’s billing system. Here’s how to cancel:

Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device. Tap the profile icon in the top right corner and go to “Payments & Subscriptions.” Then, tap on “Subscriptions.” Locate the TikTok subscription from your list of active subscriptions. Tap on it, and then select “Cancel Subscription.” Confirm your decision to cancel.
Just like on iOS, your access to subscription benefits will continue until the end of the paid billing period.
Cancelling TikTok LIVE Subscriptions via the App
If you subscribed directly to a creator’s LIVE content within the TikTok app, the steps to cancel are slightly different. TikTok LIVE subscriptions are often processed through the app stores, so you’ll generally follow the same steps as above. However, you can also manage your subscription through the TikTok app itself.
Open the TikTok app and go to your profile. Tap the three horizontal lines at the top right corner and select “Settings and Privacy.” Under the “Manage Account” or “Subscriptions” tab, locate the LIVE subscription. Tap on it and follow the prompts to manage or cancel the subscription.
If you don’t see an option to cancel directly in the app, go back to your app store subscription settings and cancel it from there.
What Happens After Cancellation?
When you cancel a TikTok subscription, you won’t be billed again unless you resubscribe in the future. However, your access to the exclusive features—such as content, badges, or ad-free experience—will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account will return to the standard TikTok user experience.
It’s also important to note that deleting the TikTok app from your phone does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel it manually through the platform (Apple or Google Play) that processed your payment.
