How to Stop TikTok Notifications

TikTok notifications can quickly become overwhelming, especially if you’re following a lot of creators or receiving frequent updates. From likes and comments to live video alerts and suggested videos, the constant buzzing can be distracting. Fortunately, TikTok gives users the flexibility to control or stop notifications altogether. Here’s how to stop TikTok notifications.

  1. Turn Off Notifications from TikTok App Settings

TikTok allows users to customize the types of notifications they receive through its in-app settings. To manage or stop these:

  1. Open the TikTok app on your phone.
  2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom right corner.
  3. Tap the three lines (menu) in the top right corner and select Settings and privacy.
  4. Tap on Notifications.
  5. You’ll see various notification categories such as:
    • Likes
    • Comments
    • New followers
    • Mentions
    • Direct messages
    • Video suggestions
    • LIVE notifications
    • TikTok Now updates
  6. Toggle off the switch next to each category you no longer want to receive notifications for.
