Kanyari ‘s close relationship with viral lady Marion Naipei raises eyebrows: “Just marry her”

Kenyans on social media have been left talking after controversial televangelist Pastor Victor Kanyari appeared to strike a close bond with viral lady Marion Naipei, prompting a section of netizens to cheekily urge him to “just marry her.”

Marion Naipei recently became the centre of heated online debate after disturbing videos allegedly showing her private parts surfaced on social media.

The clips were reportedly leaked by a man identified as James Opande, believed to be her boyfriend at the time, who allegedly exposed her nakedness while they were at a local watering hole.

The incident sparked widespread outrage, with many Kenyans condemning the act and terming it a gross violation of Marion’s privacy and dignity.

Following the emergence of the videos, countless social media users rallied behind Marion, calling for justice and demanding the arrest of Opande for humiliating her.

Nairobi County Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria also weighed in, publicly guiding Marion on how to report the matter to the police and pursue legal redress.

Soon after, it emerged that action had been taken, with James Opande later issuing a public apology over the incident.

Pastor Victor Kanyari was among the public figures who openly showed support for Marion Naipei during the difficult period.

The Salvation Healing Ministry leader went a step further by inviting the viral lady to his church for prayers and fellowship, a move that attracted mixed reactions online.

In a gesture that caught the attention of many, Kanyari also gifted Marion KSh50,000, describing it as a token to help wipe away her tears after the embarrassing ordeal.

Photos and videos circulating online showed the pastor holding Marion’s hand as he comforted her, further fuelling discussion across social media platforms.

Kanyari did not stop there. On Sunday, January 25, the preacher once again hosted Marion at his church and later shared photos of the two together on his social media pages.

In the images, both appeared cheerful and in jovial moods, seemingly unbothered by the ongoing online chatter.

While Pastor Kanyari appeared to post the photos innocently, a section of netizens quickly read deeper meaning into their visible closeness.

Some argued that the level of intimacy went beyond the typical pastor-congregant relationship, with many taking to the comments section to air their opinions.

Others, however, defended the pastor, insisting he was simply offering compassion and guidance to someone going through a tough time.

The comments section of Kanyari’s post quickly filled with reactions from Kenyans divided over the issue.

While some encouraged the preacher to make Marion his wife, others cautioned against reading too much into a moment of kindness and support.

As the debate rages on, both Pastor Victor Kanyari and Marion Naipei have remained largely silent on the marriage suggestions, choosing instead to focus on healing and moving forward.

Nonetheless, their public interactions continue to spark conversations, highlighting once again how closely Kenyans follow the lives of public figures and viral personalities alike.
