Limuru Country Club Closes Clubhouse Temporarily After Fire Breaks Out


Limuru Country Club has temporarily closed its clubhouse after a fire broke out early on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The fire, which occurred around 3:30 a.m., was swiftly contained, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.

In a statement, the club’s Chairman, John Keru, reassured the public, confirming that no staff, members, or guests were present at the time of the fire.

“We are grateful that everyone was safe and there were no casualties,” the statement read.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, with fire marshals having responded promptly to the scene.

Keru noted that they are working to assess the extent of the damage and to salvage affected areas.

“We are conducting thorough investigations and safety assessments to determine the cause and ensure the facility is safe,” he added.

As a precautionary measure, the clubhouse will remain closed until further notice.

The club management has assured members that they will provide regular updates on the progress of the investigation and a timeline for the reopening of the facility.
