A 25-year-old man died at Kenyatta National Hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a colleague at their workplace in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The deceased, identified as Tonny Jackton Omondi, was attacked on September 27, 2026, while working as a loader with his colleagues at a location about 1.2 kilometres northeast of Airbase Police Post.
According to a police report, the alleged assailant has only been identified as Idris. The incident was initially reported to police as an assault on September 29 at about 7:14am.
Police later received a report at about 8:05pm that Omondi had succumbed while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
The suspect reportedly fled after the incident and remained at large as of the time of the report.
Police have launched efforts to trace and arrest him.
Omondi’s body was at Kenyatta National Hospital pending further police action as investigations continue.
And police in Bungoma County are investigating the death of a 50-year-old man whose body was found near a stream in Maraka B Village, Webuye East.
The body of Johnstone Khaemba Nafula was discovered at about 9pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, near Webuye Stream in Nangeni Sub-Location.
Police officers visited the scene and found the man lying face down beside the stream.
He had visible burn injuries on his right hand, the back of his head and his back. Blood spots were also observed around his mouth.
According to relatives, the deceased had a history of epilepsy.
The scene was processed and documented by investigators before the body was moved to Webuye Sub-County Mortuary pending an autopsy.
The postmortem examination is expected to help establish the cause and circumstances of his death.
