Self-proclaimed billionaire Madollar Mapesa has disclosed that his efforts to help late Shalkido’s parents to give the artist a befitting sendoff have been frustrated by a group of people who want to benefit from his death.
Madollar revealed he had offered to fund Shalkido’s funeral, burial and other expenses that may arise but was stopped by people close to the artist’s father.
Taking to social media on the evening ofFriday, October 10, 2025, Madollar claimed people who blocked his philanthropy wanted to come up with several Paybill numbers so that they can steal money contributed for Shalkido’s funeral.
According to the businessman, people should not leave the burden of giving Shalkido a decent burial to Oga Obinna since he is not as rich as people think.

“Told u so well we having death beneficiaries in this country … and I remember saying soon these people will be fighting on which pay bill to be used and they will end up with over 3 different pay bills … Obinna’s Range is on lipa pole pole he took to built his image and to win public trust when deep down financially he is struggling . This death has perfectly given him a leeway to cover up his delayed payments on the car,” he wrote.
He reiterated that Kenyans should do away with the mentality of always pleading for financial contributions whenever they lose their loved ones.
Mapesa insisted that he was more than ready to pay for Shalkido’s funeral expenses only that his father did not consent, something that really irked him.

“I said I was ready to care for the burial expenses from mortuary to grave and some individuals blocked the deceased’s parent not to accept the offer coz I was blocking their pay day … I heard obina talked of he was there while the guy was alive Kwani u were waiting for his death to inherit … just coz u fueled him 3k and often taking videos and posting . Sasa sisi wenye tunanunulia watu uber na hatusemi wakikufa si tutachukua hadi mabibi zao.. it’s high time Kenyans should start being rigid with this nonessential thing of mchango… if u wanna help use ur own money …. Was ready to sponsor the whole funeral I do it mostly to my close friends and some family members that can’t mange to give their relatives decent send off … it was just a matter of his parents consenting,” he added.
Madollar made the revelation just a day after Shalkido’s family unleashed a Paybill number through which Kenyans of Goodwill can send their contributions to aid in giving the deceased artist a decent sendoff.
