A man died after he was attacked by a swarm of bees in Miori Village, Maua Location, Meru County.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at about 9 p.m., police said.
Locals reported that a man was being chased by a swarm of bees.
An elder rushed to the location, where he found the lifeless body of an unidentified adult African man inside a toilet.
Police officers visited the scene and established that the man had apparently sought refuge in the toilet in an attempt to escape the bees.
However, he was reportedly stung by the swarm and died.
Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers processed and documented the scene before the body was moved to the Nyambene Hospital Mortuary, where it is awaiting autopsy.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
And police in Kigumo, Murang’a County, are investigating the death of a 30-year-old man whose body was found inside his house with stab wounds.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Peter Muigai Nditika, was initially reported to have committed suicide inside his house using a piece of cloth.
However, officers who visited the scene established that the body had two stab wounds—one on the left side of the neck and another on the left ribs.
Police also recovered a blood-stained knife, blood-stained clothes and a bucket containing bloody water inside the house.
The scene was documented, and the body was removed and taken to the Kigumo Level IV Hospital Mortuary, where it is awaiting autopsy.
The findings have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding the man’s death, with police investigations ongoing.
And police recovered the body of an unidentified middle-aged man from the Nairobi River near Riverside Bridge in Kamukunji, Nairobi.
The body was discovered on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at about 3:10 p.m.
Officers led by the duty officer, alongside detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Kamukunji and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) personnel, responded to the scene.
Police said the body had been trapped in mud along the river and had no visible injuries.
CSI officers processed the scene before the body was retrieved and transported to the Nairobi City Mortuary, where it was admitted pending a postmortem examination and identification.
Police are yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
