Tanzanian comedian and emcee MC Pilipili’s widow, Philomena Emmanuel, popularly known as Qute Mena, has finally broken her silence hours after her husband’s sudden death.
MC Pilipili, born Emmanuel Mathias, passed away on Sunday, November 16, in Dodoma, Tanzania, where he had travelled for a show.
His death was confirmed by Ernest Ibenzi, the medical officer in charge at the Dodoma General Hospital, where the comedian was rushed for treatment.
While thousands took to social media to mourn the beloved entertainer and send condolences to Philomena, a section of users pointed accusing fingers at the widow, suggesting she may have had a hand in his demise.

Various reports claimed the comedian had been facing challenges in his marriage, further speculating that the alleged issues could have contributed to depression, ultimately leading to his passing.
In her own subtle response to the accusations, Philomena turned to social media as she mourned her late husband.
On the evening of Sunday, November 16, she shared two photos on Instagram.
The first slide showed MC Pilipili shopping in a supermarket with their daughter standing inside a trolley as he picked items from the shelves.
The second slide featured a smiling MC Pilipili, Philomena, and their daughter, a moment frozen in happiness.

Interestingly, Philomena chose to post the photos without adding a caption, a move that left fans with even more questions and speculations.
Her post attracted an outpouring of comforting messages from supporters online.
However, critics continued to bombard her with accusations, showing little empathy in the wake of her loss.
Nairobi News understands that the comedian has left behind his wife and one child.
