Citizen TV news anchor Lilian Muli has once again found herself at the center of online chatter after a video of her seemingly intoxicated and letting loose at the Kamba Festival surfaced online.
The annual cultural event, which celebrates the vibrancy of the Kamba community through music and dance, took place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Machakos Golf Club.
The festival was hosted by content creator Nicholas Kioko and his team and attracted some of the biggest names in the Kenyan entertainment industry.

Among the stars who graced the stage were Maima, Katombi, and Lilian Muli, who served as one of the event’s emcees.
The celebrated news anchor thrilled revelers as she danced energetically to Kamba tunes, sending the crowd into cheers.
At one point, she even switched to her mother tongue, proudly reminding attendees that her Kamba roots remain intact.
While those present described the night as unforgettable, social media users had mixed reactions after clips from the event went viral.
In the videos, Muli appears visibly tipsy as she dances and emcees, sparking debate among netizens.
Some defended her, saying she was simply enjoying herself after a long week of work, insisting that public figures also deserve moments of fun.
Others, however, criticised her behavior, arguing that it was unbecoming of a respected journalist and television personality.

“She looked completely drunk and behaved in a manner not fitting of her status,” one social media user wrote.
Another one stated;
“She’s human; let her live a little.”
It remains unclear whether Muli was indeed under the influence during her performance.
This is not the first time the media personality has faced criticism over similar allegations.
In the past, photos of her enjoying a drink during her private time have occasionally surfaced online, sparking public debate over her off-screen lifestyle.
