Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Salim Mvurya has congratulated the Harambee Starlets following their impressive victory, praising their determination and impact on the global stage.

“Your impressive victory is a true reflection of Kenya’s immense potential. Through your talent, tactical brilliance, and exceptional teamwork, you have delivered pride and honor to the country and placed Kenya on a high pedestal before the world,” Mvurya added.
With the team now set to face Australia in the finals, the CS expressed confidence in their ability to rise to the occasion.
“As all eyes now turn to the finals with Australia, we are confident that you are ready for the challenge ahead. Hold your heads high, stay composed, and continue to play your hearts out. Kenya stands firmly behind you every step of the way,” he said.
Mvurya also thanked fans for their continued support.
“Mafans, asanteni kwa kuwatia motisha wachezaji wetu,” he stated.
The team, in response, expressed gratitude for the support from the government and stakeholders, acknowledging a financial reward aimed at boosting morale.
“A heartfelt thank you to Sports CS H.E Waziri Mvurya and Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya for the Sh 1 million reward. We also appreciate the Football Kenya Federation for the additional Sh 500,000 in support of the team. Your support means everything to the team,” the players said.
