Kenyan content creator and influencer Baba Talisha is once again trending after sharing an emotional post remembering his late wife, Milka, years after her tragic death in a road accident.
However, what started as a heartfelt tribute quickly turned ugly after a section of social media users flooded his comment section with harsh accusations, with some claiming he “sacrificed” his wife for fame and wealth.
The father of one has repeatedly faced similar allegations whenever he publicly mourns his wife, something many Kenyans have criticized as insensitive and inhumane.

Baba Talisha, whose real name is Faustine Lipuku, lost his wife in a grisly accident along Thika Superhighway in 2020.
The crash also left their daughter Talisha with severe brain injuries that later resulted in conditions including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Dyslexia.
Despite openly documenting his grief journey and the struggles of raising a child with special needs, the content creator has continued to attract conspiracy theories from critics online.
In his latest tribute post, Baba Talisha emotionally remembered his wife and reflected on the pain of losing her, but some netizens turned the comment section toxic with disturbing accusations.
Some of the cruel comments included:
“Every time he posts her, I still believe there’s more to that story.”
“People don’t just become rich overnight. Kenyans know what happens behind the scenes.”
“He sacrificed her and now acts emotional online for sympathy.”
“Why does he keep reminding us about her death? Guilty conscience maybe?”
“Money changed him after the accident. We are not blind.”
The accusations sparked outrage among many Kenyans who defended Baba Talisha and condemned the culture of linking success to witchcraft and rituals.
Others argued that the photographer had built his career long before the accident and had worked hard to support his daughter through years of therapy and medical care.
Baba Talisha previously admitted in interviews that such allegations deeply hurt him, especially because they came at a time when he was already struggling emotionally after losing his wife.
During an interview with TV47’s Betty Kyallo, he painfully recalled how people accused him of sacrificing his spouse.
“Some said that I sacrificed my wife; a lot of things were said; many people judged,” he said during the emotional interview.
The influencer also revealed that caring for Talisha after the accident completely changed his life.
According to him, his daughter suffered severe brain injuries, lost speech, and had to relearn basic functions from scratch after spending days in the ICU.
Over the years, Baba Talisha has frequently visited the accident scene to honor his late wife’s memory, with some of his emotional videos moving fans to tears online.

He has also explained why he occasionally disables comments on posts dedicated to his wife, saying he wants to protect her memory from “keyboard warriors” who turn mourning into an opportunity for mockery and negativity.
Still, many fans came to his defense after the latest backlash, urging Kenyans to show compassion instead of attacking someone who continues to live with trauma and loss.
Supportive followers wrote:
“This man has suffered enough. Let him mourn his wife in peace.”
“Kenyans need to stop associating every success story with sacrifice and rituals.”
“Losing a wife and almost losing your child is not something anyone would fake.”
“People online have become too cruel. Imagine mourning then being accused of killing your own wife.”
Others praised Baba Talisha for remaining strong through years of grief while raising his daughter as a single father.
Despite the criticism that continues to follow him online, Baba Talisha appears determined to keep honoring the memory of the woman he once described as the love of his life.
