The latest to join the bandwagon is none other than Coast-based musician PDay Hurricane who dropped his latest song Dede on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
In the song, Pday featured a number of Kenyan musicians such as Alkenia Love and Rama Music.
Well, prior to the official premier on YouTube, the star created hype for the release by making an indecent Facebook post that rubbed a section of netizens the wrong way.
Taking to his Facebook page a couple of days ago, the musician posted a photo of a lady whose dress had been blown by wind and exposing her inner wear.
On his caption, the Machero crooner wrote;
“https://www.boomplay.com/share/music/216199733?srModel=byWH&srList=ANDROID
Gusa link uone maajab.”
While his post excited some of his fans who noted that they could not wait for the official release, it also irked many social media users who called him out for being inconsiderate.

Fans React
A number of people who commented on his post insisted his message would still have gotten home without using an indecent image.
Others wondered why he risked his many years of building his brand only to ruin it for a few views on YouTube.
Below are some comments from Kenyans;
Josh Onyango posted;
“The nudity not ideal Pday Pday Hurrikane. A decent photo would take the message home a million times.”
Baya Mzuri wrote;
“Wuuueh, the hunt for views is real. You’d rather ruin your reputation as a legend in the industry for a few thousands views on YouTube? Well.”
Salama Cindy said;
“Najua watafuta views.”
Psalmist Baraka wrote;
“Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.”
The rant got to PDay who issued an apology and promised to do better in future.
“Josh Onyango asante my broo nimeskia,”he responded to one of his critics.
