Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley Shock Fans, Announce Split After 4 Years Together

Kenyan content creators Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley have stunned their fans after announcing that they have ended their relationship, bringing to an end a four-year journey that had largely played out in the public eye.

The couple shared the emotional announcement in a joint statement addressed to their “fans, friends & supporters,” revealing that they had actually gone their separate ways three months ago but deliberately kept the matter private as they processed the decision.

“After four years together, we have mutually decided to go our separate ways,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, the separation was not a sudden decision, with the two saying they had taken time to come to terms with the end of their relationship.

“We separated three months ago and have taken time to process and accept this decision,” they added.

Kioko and Wambo choose privacy

The former couple, who built a sizeable online following by sharing aspects of their relationship and family life, asked fans and the public to respect their privacy as they begin a new chapter.

“We are choosing peace, respect and a new chapter. We kindly ask for privacy, understanding and grace as we navigate this journey,” they stated.

They also made it clear that despite the end of their romantic relationship, they remain united by their responsibilities as parents.

“While our relationship has come to an end, we remain committed to raising and loving our three amazing children, our twin boys and our beautiful daughter,” the statement said.

The announcement was signed by both Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley, signalling a joint decision rather than a statement from one side of the relationship.

A relationship that grew in front of Kenyans

Kioko and Wambo’s relationship became popular among Kenyan social media users because of how openly they documented their journey online.

The two began dating after meeting through Instagram, with Wambo’s profile growing significantly as she appeared alongside the established content creator.

Their relationship eventually developed into a family, with the couple welcoming twin boys in February 2023.

In 2024, Wambo opened up about how their relationship developed after she became pregnant with the twins, revealing that the pregnancy had not been planned and that she moved in with Kioko after discovering she was expecting.

Their family later expanded further.

In September 2025, Kioko and Wambo publicly announced that they were expecting their third child, with Kioko praising Wambo as a great mother and describing their growing family as a blessing.

The arrival of their third child appeared to mark another major milestone for the couple, who had continued to share family moments with their audience.

Split comes months after Kioko addressed marriage rumours

The breakup announcement is likely to surprise many followers because Kioko had publicly pushed back against speculation about problems in their relationship earlier in 2026.

In March, the content creator spoke about people allegedly trying to create problems between him and Wambo.

He claimed that an anonymous person had contacted Wambo using a pseudo account and accused him of cheating.

Kioko said he investigated the matter after Wambo confronted him about another woman she had allegedly been told he was involved with.

At the time, fans rallied behind the couple, with some urging them to protect their relationship from outside interference.

Social media users even expressed hope that the pair would remain together.

That background makes the latest announcement particularly striking, although neither Kioko nor Wambo has disclosed the reason for their separation.

From public romance to co-parenting

The couple’s decision to emphasise their children in the statement suggests that co-parenting will remain a central part of their lives.

Their message deliberately avoided accusations, blame or details about what led to the breakup. Instead, Kioko and Wambo focused on peace, respect and protecting their family.

Their approach also contrasts with the way many celebrity breakups unfold online, where former partners sometimes trade accusations or reveal private details.

For now, the two have given no indication that they intend to publicly discuss what caused the relationship to end.

Fans left asking questions

The announcement is expected to trigger intense debate among their followers, particularly because Kioko and Wambo had cultivated the image of a close-knit young family online.

Just months before the latest development, Kioko was still publicly celebrating Wambo and their children.

On Valentine’s Day 2026, he described her as his “forever” while celebrating her alongside their children.

Their decision to reveal that they had already separated three months ago also means that many of the family moments shared publicly during that period may have been posted after their relationship had effectively ended.

However, the pair’s statement makes one thing clear: whatever happened between them, they want to handle the next chapter away from public scrutiny.

For a couple whose relationship became part of their online brand, the separation marks a significant change, not only personally, but also for the family-oriented content that made Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley a familiar name among Kenya’s digital audience.

The big question now is whether the former couple will eventually reveal what led to their breakup or maintain the privacy they have requested.
