This incident adds to a worrying trend of road accidents in Kenya in recent months. Just last week, several people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash along the Nakuru-Kericho highway.

That accident, which happened on Tuesday, September 2, involved a speeding lorry that lost control, collided with a bus, and crashed into other vehicles, including a personal car and a trailer.

The Nakuru-Kericho crash caused a major traffic jam lasting over two hours. However, police officers responded swiftly, clearing the wreckage and restoring traffic flow.

Authorities continue to urge drivers to exercise caution on the roads as investigations into both incidents continue.
