Police authorities at Archer’s Police Post, has been captured Ibrahim Hassan, a renowned highway robber who has been intimidating truck drivers near the Isiolo-Garbatula Junction.
Following a spectacular chase that culminated in an accident close to the police post, Hassan, 36, was taken into custody.
At the intersection of Isiolo and Garbatula, the suspect flagged down a white Mitsubishi truck (registration number KCC 723S) and pretended to be a stranded traveler looking for a lift to Archer’s town.
The driver agreed to assist him out of goodwill and a sense of good Samaritan.
But when they arrived in Archer’s town, Hassan refused to get out of the car as they had agreed, threatening to stab the driver instead, forcing him to go on.
Taking advantage of the situation, the driver courageously sprang off the truck and made it out alive.

He informed a local group of police officers at Archer’s Post about the occurrence right away.
Hassan tried to escape in the stolen truck toward Isiolo town during a quick police chase.
His escape did not last long as he turned onto an unknown Murram road.
While attempting to avoid capture, Hassan collided with a tree close to Archer’s Post.
Hassan’s deadly intentions were confirmed when he was arrested and discovered to be in possession of a panga, knife, and screwdriver.
Currently, he is being prepared for arraignment.
