Viral prankster Vindee is currently cooling his heels behind bars after what he insists was an act of pure goodwill.
Nairobi News has learnt that Vindee was arrested for hosting Marto, the brother of Gloria Ntazola, at his home.
In a video posted online on Monday, December 8, Vindee revealed that police officers apprehended him in Juja for accommodating Ntazola’s brother amid an ongoing fallout within the family.
According to the content creator, he was arrested while out shooting videos with friends.
He disclosed that the arrest stemmed from his decision to help Marto, who has been at the centre of a widely publicised family dispute.

Vindee questioned why he was arrested despite only offering assistance to someone who had claimed to be homeless.
He insisted that he stepped in as a Good Samaritan after learning that the young man was going through distressing circumstances.
“Wacha niende straight to the point… Nimeshikwa nilikuwa na friends wangu walikuwa wameenda kunishoot,” he said.
Vindee added that he had been informed he could be released within a day, depending on how the matter unfolds.
He suggested that tensions within Ntazola’s family may have contributed to his current predicament.
“Reason imefanya nishikwe ni juu ya kukuwa Good Samaritan kusaidia huyo matoo brother ya Ntazola… na ni kama mabrothers wake na familia wanafurahia akiwa kwa streets,” he claimed.
The prankster explained that his intention was only to help the man regain stability, stressing that he had already done his part and was not obligated to keep hosting him.
He noted that the brother had already left his house by the time the arrest occurred.
“Sahii hata kwa nyumba hayuko… ata yeye angeshikwa. Aliniambia anaenda kwa mabeshte zake,” he said, emphasising he was not hiding him.
Gloria Ntazola Vows To Have Brother Arrested
The development comes just hours after Ntazola vowed to have her brother arrested.
Nairobi News understands that there has been a prolonged back-and-forth between Ntazola and her brother, who has repeatedly accused the family of neglect.
Gloria Ntazola recently addressed the explosive accusations, dismissing them as false and misleading.
She said the real situation was far more complex than what had circulated online.

She stated that her brother was not abandoned, explaining that the family had supported him for years by providing housing, food, and financial assistance.
According to Gloria, she personally helped him pay bills, secure employment, and even cared for his child when necessary.
She further claimed that her brother’s behaviour had become unbearable for the family, alleging that he was routinely rude, disrespectful, and disruptive toward both her and their mother.
Gloria added that he frequently caused chaos at home, picked fights, and disregarded household rules.
Matters escalated when their father attempted to discipline him, prompting him to leave home, a decision she insists was voluntary, not forced.
