He began his music career in 1993 at just sixteen years old when he joined the Irish boy band Boyzone. The band consisted of Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch, Stephen Gately, Mikey Graham, Richard Rock, and Mark Walton. They quickly rose to fame with their covers of “Working My Way Back to You” and “Love Me for a Reason”. The latter topped majority of charts.

Afterwards, Boyzone released 17 singles, three studio albums, and one compilation, selling over 27 million records worldwide before disbanding in 2000. The group became one of Ireland’s most successful pop exports, scoring numerous Top 10 singles and earning international acclaim. 

Boyzone reunited in 2007 and embarked on a sold-out UK and Ireland tour. The band’s 2010 album, Brother, debuted at number one in the UK and Ireland, as a tribute to their late bandmate Stephen Gately. They reunited again in 2013 for their 20th anniversary and released BZ20, an album featuring new songs and re-recorded classics.

While still a member of Boyzone, he launched his solo career in 1999 with the single “When You Say Nothing at All”, recorded for the film “Notting Hill”. The song topped at number one on the UK Singles Chart. 

His debut solo album, Ronan released in 2000, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and was certified Platinum four times in the UK. The album produced four major hits.

Afterwards, he released the albums Destination, Turn It On, 10 Years of Hits, and Bring You Home, which also reached the top of the UK Albums Chart.

Phenomenally, he collaborated with musical legends such as Elton John, Lulu, LeAnn Rimes, and the Bee Gees. Additionally, he also co-wrote the hit song “The Long Goodbye” with Paul Brady and won a BMI European Songwriting Award.

Most importantly, in 2007, he set a Guinness World Record as the only artist to achieve 30 consecutive Top 10 singles in the UK. 

 In 2009, he released his album Songs for My Mother which achieved commercial success. The following year, he released the album Duet and When Ronan Met Burt album in 2011, a collaboration with composer Burt Bacharach. In 2012, he announced the Fires album.

Television

Ronan Keating appeared on television as a judge on The X Factor Australia, from 2010 to 2014. He became a coach on The Voice Australia in 2016.

From 2022 to 2023, he served as a voice coach, appearing on The Voice Kids UK, The Voice of Germany. In 2025, he returned to The Voice Australia.
