Kenyans blast man who bragged online after buying food for comedian Ming’in Buch

Kenyans from all walks of lives, including local celebrities have taken to social media to reprimand a netizen who came out bragging after buying lunch for one of Kenya’s uprising content creators.

Nairobi News has learnt the Kenyan man, identified as Kiro KE recently bumped into content creator Ming’in Buch and thought it wise to bless him with lunch.

All was well until after the lunch when Kiro posted photos of Buch devouring his lunch, followed by a very demeaning caption.

He impressed many netizens with his gesture but attracted criticism with his caption.

Kiro claimed Buch ate like a pig during their lunch session, holding that most local celebrities are poor and that Kenyans should always treat them whenever they bump into them.

In essence, he mocked Buch, claiming he’s poor, greedy and struggling, something that did not settle well with countless Kenyans.

“I just met Ming’in Buch and spoiled him with heavy lunch at Kaplong. He’s eating uncontrollably. Celebrities are going through a lot buana when you meet them, spoil them. They are poor buana,” he wrote.

His post angered many people, including local celebrities such as Presenter Kai’s wife Diana Yegon who came out guns blazing.

In a post sighted by Nairobi News, Diana called out Kiro as she condemned him for embarrassing Buch.

Diana reiterated that such ‘philanthropy’ is unacceptable and should be shunned by all means.

“This is so unacceptable!! Ukinunulia mtu chakula sasa unatangazia nani?? I feel so bad! Ming’in Buch you are doing well as a comedian, Infact, I am your fan. We see you and your progress. Don’t let this sadden you. Asante Jonathan Metet for bringing this to light. @mingin buch must be respected buana!!” Diana wrote.

Her sentiments were echoed by many other Kenyans who urged people to always leave their cameras home whenever they step out for charity work.

Many insisted that there was no need for Kiro to post the photo, accompanied by the demeaning caption.

“It’s painful to see Mingin Buch Comedian facing such public hardship, driven by the expensive lunch of 100 Bob. No one should have to endure that kind of vulnerability and embarrassment.

May a path open for him—a true opportunity—that offers dignity, stability, and a chance to share his talent without this crushing fear. Our hearts go out to him during such difficult time.”
