Shape Of You hitmaker Ed Sheeran has disclosed that he does not want his posthumous album to be ‘unplanned’ but a perfect reflection of his music.
This, the musician disclosed recently while informing the world about his plans with his music even when he is gone.
Nairobi News has learnt Ed Sheeran is already planning ahead for the music he wants his fans to dance to long after he is deceased.
Speaking during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on September 10, 2025, the 34-year-old star revealed that he has a posthumous album in the works titled Eject.

Plans Written In His Will
According to the musician, he is very serious about his posthumous album that his wish is even written in his will.
The musician plans to release a posthumous record called Eject, and this wish is even written in his will.
Sheeran disclosed that he has permitted his wife Cherry to select the ten best songs he has ever made after he passes away, and compile them for the album.
“Lots of people won’t like that of me, but there’ll be lots of my fans that would find that super interesting,” he said.
The musician, who first discussed plans for the album in 2023, said that posthumous records are often released in an impromptu and often chaotic way, but that is exactly what he wants to avoid when he is gone.
“I don’t want to go and someone just to jumble up stuff and put it out. I want it to be planned,” he added.

The melodious singer revealed that he has been thinking about the project since he was just 18 years old.
This comes barely a week after the musician released his eighth studio album dubbed Play.
