Kipchumba Murkomen and Kithure Kindiki join families in prayer service for victims of Nandi Helicopter crash


Cabinet Secretary Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen on Wednesday joined Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki, other leaders, mourners, and bereaved families at a solemn prayer service held in honour of the six victims of last Saturday’s tragic helicopter crash in Chepkiyep, Nandi County.

The memorial service, held at AGC Karen in Nairobi, paid tribute to Emurua Dikirr Member of Parliament Johana Ng’eno, Colonel (Rtd) George Were, Robert Kipkoech Keter, Amos Kipng’etich Rotich, Nicholas Kosgei, and Wycliffe Kiprotich Rono, who lost their lives in the February 28 crash.

Family members, friends, and leaders from across the political divide gathered to offer prayers for the departed and to seek strength and comfort for the grieving families.

Speaking during the service, leaders described the deceased as men of valor, dedication, and deep commitment to both their families and professional callings.

They urged the nation to remain united in solidarity with the bereaved during the difficult period of mourning.
