The Mombasa reggae fraternity has suffered a major ordeal after popular emcee, MC Power was arrested for allegedly defiling a minor.
News of MC Power’s arrest was first made public by Fayah Budah through a popular reggae WhatsApp group on Friday, August 8.
According to Fayah Budah, Power is currently under police custody after being accused of the heinous acts by a woman alleged to be the minor’s mother.

Fayah Budah disclosed the said woman has been on MC Power’s case for a minute now, always trying to fix and blackmail him.
He added that the woman colluded with rogue police officers to wreck havoc in MC Power’s life.
“MC Power yuko ndani because of blackmail from that woman. Niko 101% Power hawezi defile mtoi. Niko 100% huyo mama amecook kila kitu ndiyo power awekwe ndani. Uzuri tuko hii hii Kenya ….. extortionists who are using Roque police siku yenu inakuja,” Budah wrote.
The sad news enraged many reggae lovers and music fans who stood with Power, promising to fight by his side until justice prevails.

Nairobi News has learnt a WhatsApp group has been form to aid in raising funds for MC Power’s bail/bond.
“The best way to stand with Mc Power is to join his group that is currently raising funds to enable him to get justice,” one of Power’s colleagues shared.
MC Power is currently locked up at the Shimo La Tewa Prison, Mombasa.
His arrest and subsequent lock up broke the heart of many reggae fans who vowed to stand with him to the end.
A multitude of those who commented on the issue insisted MC Power could not do such offences.
Many reiterated he interacts with many beautiful and mature women in clubs who could easily warm his bed, shutting down the accusations and describing them as pure blackmail.
