Juja MP George Koimburi Appears In Kiambu Law Courts Over Alleged Forgery Of Academic Credentials


Juja MP George Koimburi appeared at the Kiambu Law Courts to face allegations of forging academic credentials.

The Member of parliament faces  allegation of providing fake academic credentials to satify the legal criteria for his political role.

Court documents allege that Koimburi fabricated fake certificates to become eligible for nomination and later election to parliament.
The prosecution asserts that the MP’s behavior breached the Elections Act, which requires candidates to submit authentic academic records.

The situation has garned interest as it poses inquiries regarding the honesty of educational among elected representatives.
Koimburi, elected during the 2022 general election, has refunded the accusations, while his legal team is aiming to get the case thrown out.
