Although little is publicly known about Nyambura, unconfirmed reports suggest she was a businesswoman with interests in Kiambu County.

Her passing comes shortly after another prominent loss in the region the death of Mzee Isaac Ngugi, the father of Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah.

Mzee Ngugi, aged 105, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday morning at his home in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

President Ruto also led tributes for Mzee Ngugi, describing him as a visionary entrepreneur and community leader who played a pivotal role in the development of Kikuyu Town.

“Our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends for the passing of Mzee Isaac Ngugi, the father of Hon. Kimani Ichung’wah. Rest in Peace, Mzee,” the President said.

“Mzee Ngugi was an industrious and astute businessman who impacted many lives through transformative initiatives that supported the vulnerable. His legacy will live on.”

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula was the first to confirm Ngugi’s death to the public.

Other senior leaders, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, also sent messages of sympathy and support to the Ichung’wah family.

These back-to-back losses have deeply touched the Kiambu community and the nation at large, as tributes continue to pour in from across the political divide.
