Late footballer Ezekiel Otuoma’s widow Rachael remarries 1 year after his death

The widow of former AFC Leopards winger Ezekiel Otuoma has claimed that she has remarried, barely two years after the footballer’s death.

Rachael Otuoma announced that she has tied the knot with her new partner, identified as Dennis Aol, during a TikTok live session where she also displayed her wedding ring.

The news left many of her followers surprised, with some questioning whether she would drop her late husband’s surname.

In response, Rachael said she would keep the name for now, adding that the decision was personal.

“This is the second ring. If my husband has not told me to change my name, why should anyone else tell me to? I will still use Otuoma even though I am now Mrs. Aol,” she said during the live session.

“All my documents already read Rachel Aol. I don’t understand why my name is bothering people,” she added.

During the session, Rachael also shared a glimpse of her new husband as the couple enjoyed time together at what she said was a two-night stay at a luxury hotel.

She further disclosed that the couple plans to relocate abroad.

“I no longer use those other names when filling documents. Right now, it is Aol. We must go to the UK. We are relocating soon. Our child will be born there—anywhere as long as it is not in Kenya,” she stated.

Rachael was previously married to footballer Ezekiel Otuoma, who died in December 2024 after a prolonged battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), also known as ALS.

He was diagnosed in 2020 and his condition progressively worsened, eventually confining him to a wheelchair.

Otuoma, who passed away at the age of 31, enjoyed a notable career in the Kenyan Premier League, turning out for AFC Leopards, Western Stima, Muhoroni Youth, Ulinzi Stars, and Talanta FC.

Earlier, Rachael had publicly vowed to keep her wedding ring and continue honoring Otuoma’s memory.

However, she later stated that she was preparing to introduce her new partner to her family, a move that sparked mixed reactions online.
