Murkomen represents Ruto at Congo president’s inauguration in Brazzaville


Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has travelled to Brazzaville to represent William Ruto at the inauguration of Denis Sassou Nguesso.

Nguesso is being sworn in following his victory in the March 15 elections, extending his long-standing leadership in the Central African nation.

Confirming the trip, Murkomen said he was leading a Kenyan delegation to the ceremony on behalf of the President.

“This morning, I departed for Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, to represent H.E. William Samoei Ruto at the inauguration ceremony of President Denis Sassou Nguesso,” Murkomen said.

He is accompanied by several Members of Parliament, including Phelix Odiwuor, Mohamed Abdi Abdirahman, Irene Njoki, Linet Chepkorir, John Bwire, and Bernard Kitur.

The visit underscores Kenya’s continued diplomatic engagement with African nations and participation in key regional and continental events.
