Police in Yala, Siaya County, have arrested one suspect and recovered a range of stolen items and narcotics following a successful intelligence-led operation on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Acting on a tip-off from members of the public, officers from Yala Police Station in Gem Yala Sub-County raided a location believed to be linked to criminal activity.
During the operation, police recovered various suspected stolen items, including electronic devices, household goods, and assorted tools.
Additionally, several rolls of cannabis and other narcotic substances were found at the scene.

One male suspect was arrested during the raid, while others believed to be involved managed to flee and are currently being sought by authorities.
The recovered items have been secured as exhibits, and the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue ahead of his expected arraignment in court.
