President William Ruto met with ODM leader Raila Odinga in Mombasa after the unsuccessful bid for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson.
Hon. Odinga ran a strong and well-coordinated campaign, traveling across Africa engage with key leaders and participate in critical discussions in nearly every African capital.

His campaign, underpinned by a vision for transformative leadership, brought together Kenya, Eastern Africa, and the wider African continent in a shared commitment to development.

During their meeting at State House in Mombasa, President Ruto thanked those who supported the campaign, particularly recognizing the solidarity and backing from scross Africa.

The leaders reflected on the bid and used the moment to reaffirm their focus on accelerating the growth of a united Africa.

They also emphasized the need for improved infrastructure to boost intra-Africa trade, underscoring their ongoing commitment to the continent’s economic integration and development.
