Shalkido involved in road accident days after Kenyans bought him new motorcycle


Former Sailors Gang’s member Shalkido is currently fighting for his life in hospital after surviving a terrible road accident.

Nairobi News has learnt Shalkido was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at a yet to be disclosed location.

News of Shalkido’s accident was first made public by Oga Obinna through an emotional Instagram post sighted by this writer.

According to Obinna, the artist was involved in the accident in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The comedian disclosed that the former Sailors Gang’s member is in critical condition but receiving treatment in a Nairobi hospital.

“Wooooi Shalkido yawa. Critical in hosi. Apparently he had an accident today early morning. More updates to follow,” Obinna wrote.

Obinna revealed that he had been with Shalkido hours before the unfortunate accident.

He assured Kenyans that he will be sharing more details about Shalkido’s progress as they unfold.

“Will update on what happened, where, how and why. Na tuliwachana vizuri today morning,” Obinna added.

His announcement shook countless Kenyans who thronged the comments section of his post to wish the artist well and a quick recovery.

It should be noted Obinna is among Kenyans who have been trying to help Shalkido to get back on his feet after coming out, pleasing for financial assistance.

Eric Omondi had earlier bought Shalkido a motorcycle to help him out food on his table.

He also gave him some money to start up a business and fed his young family.

Obinna joined in and even rented him a house and furnished it and was in the process of doing even more to help him bounce back.
