A family in Kirinyaga is grappling with unbearable grief after discovering that their 13-year-old daughter was brutally raped and strangled, with her body abandoned in a nearby coffee farm.
According to relatives, the seventh-grade student left the family’s home around 10 AM, and her absence prompted a frantic search that led to the horrific discovery just a short distance from the house.
Authorities have confirmed that the young girl suffered sexual assault prior to her death, as suggested by a piece of cloth found tightly wrapped around her neck.
Evidence indicates that her body was dragged away from the scene, and further examinations revealed blood oozing from her ears and nose, along with her missing underwear.
In response to this tragic event, police have transported the victim’s body to the Kirinyaga County Referral Hospital mortuary and have initiated a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The community is left in shock, and calls for justice are growing louder as they seek answers to this unimaginable crime.
