Police are investigating an incident where a 27-year-old man was found murdered outside his residential house in Maraba estate, Kakamega Town.
The body of Benjamin Obangi was found in a scrap metal yard where he also lived long after he had been murdered on February 12, police said.
The motive of the murder was not immediately established. The body had injuries in the head when it was discovered and later moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
And police said they had arrested three suspects linked to a series of kidnapping and robbery with violence incidents reported in parts of Kiambu County.
The suspects were arrested by detectives from the DCI headquarters on Wednesday in an intelligence-led operation in Kiandutu and Githurai.
Police said they recovered nine mobile phones and assorted master keys from the suspects.
Police said there had been an increase in incidents of robbery with violence and abduction which prompted the operation. The suspects were detained pending further grilling, investigations and arraignment. This was after the intelligence linked the suspects to the incidents.
In Gichira, Nyeri County, a suspect was stoned to death after being linked to stealing. The body of the suspect was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
In Kiutine, Meru County, a man was stoned to death over claims of being a serial thief. His body was found with multiple injuries from stoning in Kipkona Market, police said.

And a man holding dual citizenship of Somalia and Australia was arrested and detained at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport police over claims of obtaining money with false pretenses.
The man also had a diplomatic Somalia passport and had arrived from Australia via South Africa when he was detained pending grilling and possible arraignment, police said adding there was a complaint against him.
