Man, 39 electrocuted in poultry house in Tana River

A 39-year-old man was found dead after an electrocution incident in Hola, Tana River County.

Police said the incident happened on April 19 evening after the deceased identified as Paul Kofa was found dead in a poultry house.

Kofa is said to have been feeding his chicken in a house when he touched its roof.

It emerged that the roof had been connected to a live naked wire which caused the electrocution.

The body was moved to a mortuary in the area pending other procedures.

Officials say a surge in such incidents are linked to use of quacks in wiring and illegal power connections.
